Our tour crew of 4 spent 3 days with a class of mixed hischool-aged students in East Harlem a couple weeks ago. We led them through storytelling and listening projects, which resulted in the students sharing personal stories of overcoming struggles and basing imagery off of those stories using screen printing techniques. A moving & inspiring week. At the end of the 3 days, the students presented their pieces to parents & teachers along with some intense beat poetry and helping us tell the story of our Mesoamerica Resiste poster. Those kids are awesome.
